Ciao,
Another beautiful day in Rome, I must say, and a day full of walking !! To begin, the city bus drivers and metros are on strike!! No rest for the feet today!!
To begin our journey, we head off to the ancient city of Rome! Below is a map displaying the different forms of the original empire.
Here we have what is known as the "wedding caking" building. The Altare della Patria or Altar of the Fatherland is a monument built in honor of Victor Emmanuel who was the first king to rule Italy as a unified country.
Snapshots!!!
Silly moments inside the Altare della Patria
*"and who are you?" Everything was in Italian so lets make the best out of it some way! ;)
This picture is just to show this mad incline we took to get to the capitoline piazza... There is no need for a workout plan in Italy, just go site seeing :)
Now we have arrived, the piazza was designed by the one and only Michale Angelo himself during 1536–1546!! Pretty sweet museum that it has been converted to as well!
